2026 Exploration Forum NSW

The 2026 Exploration Forum, hosted by NSW Resources, will bring together explorers, industry professionals, regulators and key stakeholders to examine the evolving regulatory landscape for exploration in New South Wales.

Held in Orange, the forum will focus on the increasing expectations placed on explorers and provide practical insights to help participants navigate modern regulatory requirements, strengthen compliance and support their operating social licence.

Key themes include assessable prospecting approvals, rehabilitation cost estimates, consultation requirements, compliance case studies, Geological Survey of NSW data and projects, land access frameworks and guidance on where to seek support when navigating regulatory obligations.

The event will also feature facilitated discussions, workshops and collaborative problem-solving sessions, providing an opportunity for industry to engage directly with current regulatory priorities and practical compliance considerations.  AMETS will be in attendance and looks forward to connecting with explorers, industry representatives and key stakeholders at the forum.
