At the 2024 Annual Geoscience Exploration Seminar (AGES) recently held in Alice Springs, members of AMETS’ Geoservices Team took the opportunity to meet with representatives of the NT Department of Industry, Tourism and Trade (DITT), regarding Annual Technical and Expenditure Reporting.
The DITT have recently been taking a more rigorous approach to assessing compliance across the industry, actively seeking to improve the quality of the reports they receive. The discussion was forthright, cooperative and constructive, and covered issues such as interpretation of Government Guidelines, claimable expenditure, data file formats and general standards of reporting. The consequences for title holders of not submitting acceptable Technical and Expenditure Reports were also discussed in detail.
The meeting was an excellent opportunity for AMETS’ geologists to improve their understanding of the DITT’s expectations regarding Annual Reporting, to continue to improve our reporting practices, and to maximise the value we provide our clients in ensuring their tenements remain compliant.
