Mineral Resources Tasmania has announced that applications will be opening for two new Exploration Release Areas (ERAs), providing opportunities for new mineral discoveries crucial to sustaining Tasmania’s mining industry.
ERAs open for application on 14 July 2025 and close on 18 July 2025.
Areas relinquished from exploration licences are advertised as Exploration Release Areas (ERAs), with a moratorium period of at least two months to allow potential applicants to view relevant data and reports before making an application for the area.
