KEY FEATURES
The WA Co-Funded Energy Analysis Program provides funding to encourage exploration of petroleum and geothermal resources in Western Australia.
Applications Open Monday 3 February 2025 and Close Friday 28 February 2025.
There is only one application period per year.
The Energy Analysis Program aims to support exploration of petroleum and geothermal resources in WA by providing funding under 2 categories:
- Analysis and Reprocessing – funding for analysis of existing state resources (eg core, sidewall core, cuttings, and oil, condensate, water, and gas samples) and re-analysis of existing data (eg reprocessing or desktop studies).
- Geophysics Acquisition – funding for acquisition of greenfields geophysical data to achieve better resolution and understanding of petroleum and geothermal systems. The data from the co-funded projects will become open file to advance exploration activity, address knowledge gaps, and deliver regional information to the wider exploration community.
FUNDING AMOUNTS
- Analysis and Reprocessing Category – Co-funding amount will be 50% of the actual costs up to a capped value of $50,000 per project.
