Tamara Grothues – Principal Tenement Manager | QLD, TAS, PNG
Tamara joined the AMETS team in October 2015 and has 16+ years of tenement management experience, administering tenements across each state of Australia. Tamara has completed a mining law unit at the University of WA and regularly attends conferences throughout Australia. Her working background is strong in administration having spent ten years in banking, as well as holding a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology.
Tamara is currently responsible for managing permits held in Queensland, Tasmania and Papua New Guinea. She is an active committee member of the North Queensland Miners Association (NQMA) and regularly attends events held by AMEC, QRC and QEC.
What do you love about your position?
I love working with a great group of staff all over Australia, who have a broad range of skills and qualifications, and are more than happy to share that knowledge.
How do you spend your time when you are not at AMETS?
If I’m not at work, you can usually find me at a motocross track somewhere or travelling to a motocross track somewhere in Australia. My son races motocross and I am an official for the sport, so chances are good that if I have spare time, that is where you will find us.
With any other rare downtime, give me a good book and I’m happy.
