
Keith Weston
Administration Geologist
Keith Weston joined AMETS in April 2025 as a Geoservices geologist, from a TSX listed, Victorian based gold Explorer. He has wide ranging experience from underground geologist in Kalgoorlie, working with the Victorian Department of Minerals & Energy, through several stints in senior roles with ASX listed explorers, as well as time in the Extractive Industry sector working for Hanson and Boral as quality control co-ordinator.
He has exposure across several commodities and jurisdictions including Western Australia, Victoria, Queensland, South Australia, Latin America and PNG. Keith brings to AMETS a breadth of knowledge across a variety of areas of the mineral industry.

What do you love about your position?
Diversity of tasks, everyday can be (mostly!) different.
How do you spend your time when you are not at AMETS?
Playing in Australia’s only Punk ukulele band and watching Scandi noir with my wife.
What are you most grateful for?
My continued good health.
What is your ideal holiday?
More time in Latin America, although any holiday is a good holiday. I can always find something to do no matter the circumstances or weather.
Which three things do you take to a deserted island?
- Bear Grylls survival guide.
- Solar powered MP3 player with my music collection pre-installed.
- Good quality tent.
What do you love most about being an Ametarian?
Being part of a professional organisation, whose people are ready and willing to get stuck into the task at hand.
