WA Co-Funded Industry Grants Program

Exciting opportunity for Resources Exploration in Western Australia

Discover the potential of Western Australia’s mineral resources with the Exploration Incentive Scheme (EIS). This initiative by the Western Australian State Government is geared towards fostering sustainable exploration, boosting employment, and supporting the transition to a net-zero energy system.

1. The Co-funded Exploration Drilling Program is a program which offers up to a 50% refund for innovative exploration drilling projects, capped at specific amounts for eligible projects.

2. The Co-funded Geophysics Program (CGP) is a competitive program refining regional structures including basin or province margins, identifying geophysical anomalies under cover, redefining regions for new deposit types, and defining target geometries and depth. The EIS will allocate approximately $2 million per year. The amount will be 50% of the actual costs up to a capped value of $250,000 per project. The CGP will support geophysical exploration in the mineral resources sector.

3. The Co-funded Energy Analysis Program (EAP) is an initiative to encourage exploration of petroleum and geothermal resources in the state of Western Australia. The funding will fall under two categories: EAP – analysis and reprocessing, and EAP – geophysics acquisition.

Key Dates: Applications open 5 February 2024.
