Team Enhancements

Welcome Kate Shearman
We are delighted to welcome Kate Shearman to our team, where she plays a pivotal role assisting our existing tenement managers look after our expanding client portfolio in NSW. Kate’s expertise and enthusiasm are valuable additions to our growing family. 

Geoservices Team Expansion
Responding to increased client demands, the AMETS Geoservices team has expanded to ensure we meet the rising requirements for reports, maps, drilling approvals, and rehabilitation sign-offs. 

Client Portfolio Growth
It’s with great pleasure that we announce an 18% increase in our NSW client portfolio in 2023. This growth reflects the trust our clients place in us, and we are committed to delivering exceptional service. 

Adapting to Government Changes

Renewals Policy Amendment
In March 2023, AMETS navigated the changes in the renewals policy, successfully guiding many clients through the amendments. 

Resources Regulator Rehab Reforms
We are actively engaged in the ongoing Resources Regulator rehab reforms. The new reporting requirements for large mines have been implemented, with small mine reporting extended for their first report under the new rehab reforms, due on 1 March 2024. 

Industry Events & Engagements

NSW Mining Exploration and Tenures Forum
Two of our staff members attended this forum at the Mint earlier in the year to stay informed on industry topics. 

RIU Conference Sydney
Our staff, alongside AMETS Managing Director, attended the RIU conference in Sydney in May, providing a valuable opportunity to connect with clients. 

Membership in Industry Councils
AMETS is now a proud member of the Coalfield Geology Council and the NSW Minerals Council. We actively participate in events and committee meetings, strengthening our industry connections. 

SMEDG Winter Cruise
Two of our geologists attended the SMEDG Winter Cruise, with continued support for the upcoming SMEDG Summer Cruise. 

AMEC Networking Events
We’ve been active participants in several AMEC networking events, including the sponsorship of the Sydney Networking and the Orange Networking events held in August.  

IMARC Sydney
The entire AMETS leadership team attended IMARC in Sydney, showcasing our commitment to staying at the forefront of industry advancements.
